A writer of science fiction novels are what the U.S. government knows few years: that the crust will be destroyed because of huge solar flare, which is foretold by the Mayan calendar, which believes that the world will end in 2012. Prophecy saying that the world will end on December 21 2012 Mayan calendar date marking the end result proves to be true, and Jackson tries his best to save his family and to ensure that humanity will not be completely removed from face of the earth.
