Like every kid, Santiago Munez has a dream. But unlike other kids, he has the opportunity to make their dream come true, if it is willing to give up fear, thousands of miles to travel and play against the best in the world. Pressure and personal sacrifice of their bearing on Santiago, but it will be able to prevent this young talented and determined to achieve its goal?
When Santiago crossed the border into America at the age of 10, he had two things: soccer ball and a tattered World Cup. A nothing menial jobs in Los Angeles, but his passion Santiago (Kuno Becker) was to play football. But something else was to convince his father that could be an international star. "There are two kinds of people in the world," declared the elder Munez, "people in big houses and those of us who cut their lawns and wash their cars."
But when Brit Glen Foy (Stephen Dillane), a former football player and sometime scout talent, Santiago sees a game in LA, acknowledges him as a skilful player, fast and brave, the kind of talent the club then longs Newcastle United, the Premier League.
Thrown into a foreign country where football is religion, and St. James' Park in Newcastle, is its cathedral, a young American must show that he has the courage and ability to win a contract with the most prestigious club in the world. Muddy fields, cold winds and crunching blows from teammates, not to mention personal woes, injuries and temptations of life fast, are just some of the obstacles Santiago must overcome to triumph in the turbulent world of international football.
Directed by Danny Cannon, "goole" distribution plays in the young Latino actor Kuno Becker. Some of the greatest footballers of the world appear in the film - David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, Raul and Newcastle's captain Alan Shearer.
